Job Responsibilities

  • Provide analytic and research support for key strategy projects, market, trend, customer, channel and competitive assessments
  • Provide support in managing strategy development process
  • Present at team and client meetings, and determine the most practical way to drive lasting results based on your insights and analysis Responsible for processing and evaluating businesses, projects, budgets and other finance-related entities to determine their suitability for investment.
  • Support preparation of senior management and board level communications
  • Supports team goals and assessments
  • Must be able to perform financial analysis at a micro and macro level to understand the financial health of the company and offer suitable recommendations.
  • Recommend individual investments and collections of investments, which are known as portfolios
  • Evaluate current and historical data
  • Structure and perform analysis and conduct primary research to uncover insights, identify and validate value creation opportunities for the Group
  • Responsible for financial position to make better business/ investment decisions, as well as monitoring and assessing business performance and determining the matrix for assessment thereof.
  • Identify key drivers through structured analysis and conceptual thinking to effectively probe problems and causes; work with Strategy Team & and Businesses to develop solutions
  • Conduct valuation analyses and financial assessments
  • Leverage desktop applications with high proficiency to capture and maximize critical thinking Communicate effectively and persuasively in a business context.
Qualification / Experience /Skills
  • HND or First Degree in any of the following Management Science courses; Economics, Statistics, Business Management, Accounting and Finance or any other degree i.e. Candidates with a basis for Business Analysis.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in written and oral English.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial & dynamic environment
  • Must be able to understand market trends and forecast
  • Must be thorough in research finding and methodology
  • Must possess a flare for numbers and be business savvy
  • Must possess excellent numerical and quantitative skills
  • Must be a critical thinker with good judgement and decision making
  • Must have excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to collect, integrate and analyze information from multiple sources to create a cohesive, fact-based analysis

Working Relationships
Internal:
  • Develop efficient and effective cross-divisional relationships among core teams throughout the company including, Finance Managers, Managing Directors, Executive Directors and the Company Board.
External:
  • Is expected to develop relationships with financial advisory service firms, consulting firms, tax authorities, treasury houses, Investor Relations etc.
Remuneration
N90,000 - 150,000 Monthly

Job Description
  • We are looking for a Sales Executive to join the Maersk Nigeria Sales team, to be based in our Lagos office.
  • You will manage existing customer relationships and performance, focus on growth in targeted areas as well as secure new customers.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management:
  • Customer relationship management
  • Clearly map stakeholders and understand their needs
  • Effective management of assigned customers; pursue and secure business in line with West Nigeria volume targets.
Revenue Management:
  • Create and manage customer specific business plans and initiatives allowing Maersk Line to maximize its yield potential.
  • Ensure follow through on E2E direction setting as communicated with a view to maximising total yield and build a stronger pipeline of new customers
  • Keep abreast of market developments and report significant trends, rate changes and policies to TNM and Sales Manager
  • Proactively support Finance and Customer Service in clearing outstanding invoices and longstanding containers respectively
Pipeline and Portfolio Management:
  • Quality sales activities covering client portfolio.
  • Quality pipeline accurately reflecting the business that has been identified from active sales calls, without allowing unrealistic/significant over or under forecasts vs. what is to be delivered.
  • Business plan based on minimum set with quarterly updates.
  • Qualify customer opportunities using:
  • Uncovering needs framework, understanding the buying phases
  • Using and understanding the Persuasive Selling methodology
  • Build strong customer specific value propositions linking to Maersk Line differentiators.
  • Actively use Maersk Line CRM tool

Sales Meetings/Activity Management:
  • Prepare for Sales meetings with clear agenda and desired outcomes in the CRM tool
  • Follow the Persuasive Selling principles

SHELL Livewire Programme 2016

The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC), operator of the NNPC/Shell/Total/Agip Joint Venture (SPDC JV) announces the commencement of the 2016 LiveWIRE Nigeria Programme specifically targeted at youths in Ogoniland.
LiveWIRE is a youth enterprise development programme supported by the SPDC JV.  The programme aims to inspire, encourage and support young entrepreneurs aged 18-35 to start their own businesses through the provision of training and startup finance.

The LiveWIRE programme objectives are to:
•    Enable youths to establish businesses by providing business planning and management skills through the
     Become a Successful Business Owner Course’.
•    Provide business startup grants for candidates with the best business plans.
•    Link successful candidates to third parties like banks, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and     
      allied financial institutions.
•    Provide a volunteer mentoring programme for successful candidates.

Programme content                                       
•    Pre-startup:- Value and Organise Yourself (VOY)
•    Bright Ideas workshop
•    Business Planning & Management (Become a Successful Business Owner)
•    Business Startup (How to access finance & technology)
•    Post startup (Mentoring, Incubation, Market linkages)
