Apply For Holland Scholarship For Degree Or Master's Study (5,000 Euros)


This scholarship is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science as well as several Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences.

Scholarship

The scholarship amounts to € 5,000. You will receive this in the first year of your studies. Please note that this is not a full-tuition scholarship.

Grant award period

The grant is awarded for one year and can only be received once.

Application criteria

  • Your nationality is non-EEA.
  • You are applying for a full-time bachelor’s or master’s programme at one of the participating Dutch higher education institutions. 
  • You meet the specific requirements of the institution of your choice. You can find these on the website of the institution.
  • You do not have a degree from an education institution in the Netherlands.

How to apply

Find your programme in the overview of participating research universities or in the overview of participating universities of applied sciences. You will find detailed information about the application procedure and deadlines in the links provided in both lists.
The university will contact you to let you know if you have been awarded a scholarship.

Deadlines

You can now apply for the 2018-2019 academic year. The deadline for application is either 1 February 2018 or 1 May 2018. Please check the website of the institution of your choice to confirm the correct deadline.

Job Description
  • We are looking for a Sales Executive to join the Maersk Nigeria Sales team, to be based in our Lagos office.
  • You will manage existing customer relationships and performance, focus on growth in targeted areas as well as secure new customers.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management:
  • Customer relationship management
  • Clearly map stakeholders and understand their needs
  • Effective management of assigned customers; pursue and secure business in line with West Nigeria volume targets.
Revenue Management:
  • Create and manage customer specific business plans and initiatives allowing Maersk Line to maximize its yield potential.
  • Ensure follow through on E2E direction setting as communicated with a view to maximising total yield and build a stronger pipeline of new customers
  • Keep abreast of market developments and report significant trends, rate changes and policies to TNM and Sales Manager
  • Proactively support Finance and Customer Service in clearing outstanding invoices and longstanding containers respectively
Pipeline and Portfolio Management:
  • Quality sales activities covering client portfolio.
  • Quality pipeline accurately reflecting the business that has been identified from active sales calls, without allowing unrealistic/significant over or under forecasts vs. what is to be delivered.
  • Business plan based on minimum set with quarterly updates.
  • Qualify customer opportunities using:
  • Uncovering needs framework, understanding the buying phases
  • Using and understanding the Persuasive Selling methodology
  • Build strong customer specific value propositions linking to Maersk Line differentiators.
  • Actively use Maersk Line CRM tool

Sales Meetings/Activity Management:
  • Prepare for Sales meetings with clear agenda and desired outcomes in the CRM tool
  • Follow the Persuasive Selling principles

Welcome Home! See Photos Of Stranded Nigerians Arriving Home From Libya

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Geoffrey Onyeama, on Sunday in Port Harcourt said that the Federal Government would rehabilitate and empower 490 Nigerians evacuated from Libya.

Onyeama gave the assurance on the arrival of the returnees at Port Harcourt Airport in Rivers, where a reception centre has been set up to receive and profile the returnees  before being transported to their various states of origin.

The returnees are the first batch of an estimated 5037 Nigerians to be ferried home by two indigenous airlines, Max Air.

Onyeama had led a fact finding team to Libya to negotiate with the government to get the stranded Nigerians home.

Robbers Stormed Mr Ibu's House, Carted Away 14.3m Cash And Other Properties


The popular comic actor John Okafor popularly known as Mr Ibu has been reportedly robbed recently in his house on Saturday, January 6, 2018.
According to The Nation, the robbers struck in the morning and carted away about N14.3m cash as well as other expensive properties.
Mr Ibu revealed that the matter has been reported to the police. He added that his wife was at home when the men of the night attacked.

“According to my wife, the operation started at about 3am and lasted till about 4:25am this morning after which they left with all my property and cash.”
